Stars 5/5

I went out today and bought my Cubika. After the initial set up and priming of the pump I then tried my first espresso. I'm pleased to report that this product is fantastic at any price. This is my first proper espresso/capuccino machine and for £125 you get a great make and great results, (Gaggia is the most bought espresso machine in Italy) and they know a thing or two about coffee.

The machine weighs in at a solid 5.3Kg, and looks the business in brushed steel. Operation is a doddle and all the parts slot together precisely and easily.
The espresso is produced with superb crema and milk frothing is easy with the 'Turbo frother'.

This is an excellent product and I would advise anybody out there looking to upgrade or invest in an espresso maker to go with the Gaggia.

Performance Excellent
Ease of use Easy
Durability Satisfactory
Cleaning & Maintenance Very easy
Value for money Good

Advantages: Compact for small worktop space
Disadvantages: push in buttons that stick, milk frother takes some practice

Recommend to potential buyers: yes

I had one of these machines, I loved it very user friendly and after a couple of weeks my froths were Great .
It is a solid and lovely looking Machine and is not too bulky its Ideal for people with limited space.
The cups fit on the top which keeps them warm the only problem was the buttons on the left push in and out and they kept getting stuck after only one month of using it , we were in the middle of moving to another country so we could not exchange it .
I dont know if this is a general fault with this model or just a one off but since last year we have now got another Gaggia with switches as opposed to Buttons and we cannot fault it I think for any Expresso lovers out there go for Gaggia as you get the taste of real coffee shop coffee but in the comfort of your own home Cappacino's come out lovely.
